Thank you for all the Harvest Festival donations of food and essential non food items. The retiring collection raised £250 for the Foodbank.
As the pandemic continues to affect jobs and family income, those in need of the service that the Foodbank provides is increasing. User numbers in our area have increased from 5,440 in 2019 to 6,284 in 2020, and this figure is likely to go up again with the ongoing economic uncertainty.
Please continue to provide much valued support. Food donations during lockdown can still be made at most large supermarkets, as well as All Saints Church in Hoole, or direct to the foodbank warehouse. During lockdown cash donations are still most welcome, either online here (follow the link on the homepage) or by cheque made out to ‘West Cheshire Foodbank’ and sent to Unit 3/4, Stanney Mill Industrial Estate, Dutton Green, Chester CH2 4SA.
At present the items most in need are:
Small bars of chocolate
Small bags of sweets
Tinned puddings / fruit
