Events for schools, children and uniformed groups

Our Education Department works tirelessly to create and host engaging, educational events for children, schools and other groups to take part in. This page features our upcoming events which will all take place in Chester Cathedral.

  • Learn about pilgrimage in the past, the Benedictine monks, how the cathedral is used today, the sounds of the Grand Organ;
  • Focus on traditional and modern art, design skills, calligraphy, sugar craft, clay and hand bell ringing;
    Climb the tower or visit the birds of prey at our Falconry Centre;
  • Close the day with an act of worship.

Full payment must be received by 28 September. From 1st October, un-paid reserved spaces will be released to schools on our waiting list.

Please reserve only places for the pupils. Teachers, staff and parent helpers do not need a place as they are free of charge.
