Chester Music Society presents Christmas Crackers

Roger McGough – presenter
Chester Music Society Choir
Chester Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Graham Jordan Ellis

Celebrate a family Christmas with the CMS Choir, Chester Philharmonic Orchestra and our guest presenter, Liverpool’s own Roger McGough.

Roger McGough, a founder member of the Sixties trio Scaffold, is one of Britain’s best-loved poets for both adults & children. Roger currently hosts Poetry Please on BBC Radio 4. Much travelled and translated, his poetry has gained increasing popularity, especially from its widespread use in schools. A prolific writer, he is twice winner of the Signal Award for best children’s poetry book and recipient of the Cholmondeley Award.

There will be laughter and music aplenty, and favourite carols to sing, to make this a joyful start to your Christmas celebrations.

Tickets £10 – £20. (Full time students, under 18s & carer with registered disabled person free).
