Chester Philharmonic Orchestra November Concert

November 12 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm


Our concert, conducted by Stephen Threlfall,  opens with two pieces by Samuel Barber, including the beautiful Adagio for Strings.  This is followed by a rare opportunity to hear a percussion-based concerto featuring the marimba player Calum Huggan. Finally, experience the might of the Cathedral organ, played by the Director of Music, Philip Rushforth, in Saint-Säens Organ Symphony.

Barber – Adagio for Strings 

Oetomo – Concerto No. 1 for Marimba and Strings
