Chorales for a Spring Evening, Chester Music Society Concert

CMS Choir with their guests, Morwen Blythin, “ Harpist of the Clwyd Coast” and organist, Graham Eccles present a delightful programme including Morten Lauridsen’s ‘Lux aeterna’, Mozart’s tuneful ‘Spatzenmesse’ and works by Haydn and Pergolesi.

                                                                                                                  

This is a concert to celebrate Springtime ! Well known choral works from the classical period , including Mozart’s ‘Spatzenmesse’ will be performed alongside contemporary choral melodies. This wide-ranging theme will also be carried into the programme  presented by soloist, Morwen Blythin, including  works by Handel and Glinka as well as “Hiraeth” by Welsh composer, Grace Williams
