An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Thursday, repeating until 8th August 2019
Come to learn Latin which will help you translate and understand parts of the Anglican Liturgy: Nunc Dimittis, Pate Noster, Credo, Magnifcat, Benedictus and Te Deum.
There are 6 sessions each Thursday, commencing Thursday 4 July, from 10.30am – 12.30pm in the library of Chester Cathedral.
Week One: Grammar (nouns & adjectives 1), (verbs present tense) Reading (Mark 1 : 23-34) and Nunc Dimittis text.
Week Two: Grammar (nouns & adjectives 2), (verbs past tense 1) Reading (Mark 2 : 1-12) and Pater Noster text.
Week Three: Grammar (nouns & adjectives 3), (verbs past tense 2) Reading (Mark 4: 1-9 and 13-20) and Credo text.
Week Four: Grammar (pronouns & prepositions 1), (common irregular verbs) Reading (Mark 5 : 1-20) and Magnificat text.
Week Five: Grammar (pronouns & prepositions 2), (verbs future tense & subjunctive mood) Reading (Mark 5 : 21-43) and Benedictus text.
Week Six: Grammar (participles), (verbs passive voice) Reading (Mark 6 : 30-44) and Te Deum Laudamus text.
