Living Islam

Hosted by the Lord Mayor of Chester, Martyn Delaney in the Council Room of Chester Town Hall.

Come and hear what it is like day-by-day to live as a muslim in Liverpool. Learn about the traditions and beliefs and ask questions.

Hinnah Heydari is a practicing Muslim born in Leeds. After graduating as a Primary School teacher she spent a few years teaching young children. In 2015, she moved to Liverpool where she completed her Masters in Religious Education at Liverpool Hope University. She comes from a Pakistani background and is married to an Afghan, they have two boys. Hinnah currently works for a charity called Liverpool Community Spirit where she delivers faith encounters workshops within schools and other educational settings.

Hinnah’s faith is extremely important to her, she is extremely grateful that she has the opportunity to spread awareness of Islam and address misconceptions and stereotypes that come with it.

Supported by Cheshire West and Chester Equality and Diversity Fund. To book a place (no charge), contact: chestercivic@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk
