Sign of the Times: A Celebration of British Sign Language

December 5 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

DSN Cheshire and North Wales (Deafness Support Network) present an evening to explore and celebrate the beauty of deaf culture, through a vibrant programme of music, presentations and poetry! Full running order to follow. The event will be hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Jimmy McCracken.

British Sign Language (BSL) is the most common form of Sign Language in Britain. It is an official minority language with a similar status to Gaelic or Welsh.

All proceeds will go towards providing Chester Cathedral with a BSL interpreter to sign at future services and events, to meet the needs of the deaf community. There will be a retiring collection to raise funds for DSN.

This event will be supported by a live BSL interpreter and displayed throughout the Nave on TV screens.
