Pop into the Cathedral Library for an engaging talk introducing our latest exhibition: ‘What is Kingship? Some Answers from 16th and 17th Century Treasures in Chester Cathedral Library’
To mark the year of the coronation of King Charles III this exhibition looks at some of the issues about kingship as discussed in the period from Henry VIII to James II. Books, pamphlets, and sermons from the Cathedral Library, many with close connections to Chester, illustrate the topic from a range of perspectives.
Talks will be given by Professor George Brooke, Library Consultant, Curator of the Exhibition.
