To celebrate the inaugural Chester Food and Drink Week, Chester Cathedral are proud to host the Taste Cheshire Farmers Market in the nave of the Cathedral.
For the first time in over 100 years, the Nave of Chester Cathedral will play host to a stunning array of Cheshire produced goods, featuring the traders of Taste Cheshire, including sausages, pies, cheese, preserves, crafts and more…
Stephen Wundke, CEO of Taste Cheshire was elated, as he explained. This is an incredibly special occasion. There are only 42 Cathedrals in the UK and Chester is the only one, that we know who has had the foresight and courage to allow people the opportunity to see just how the Cathedral may have worked hundreds of years ago when traders came to swop goods and sell their wares. We are incredibly privileged to be able to stage our market in the Nave and we thank Dean Tim for his support, to show that the Cathedral is a part of Chester Food and Drink Week. Our Cathedral is without doubt one of the finest in the UK and I encourage everyone to come along, be inspired by this amazing building and see the amazing produce on offer from our traders. This will be a very special day.”
The Cathedral remains open as usual during the market.
