Where Romantic poets celebrated Nature’s beauty, today’s eco-poets bear witness to the more complicated connections between humankind and the natural environment – and particularly the impact we are making on it.
In this workshop we will explore our poetic responses to the beautiful planet that is our home. Chester Cathedral’s hosting of the Gaia art installation offers the rare opportunity to be inspired by seeing how the Earth looks from space, as a part of God’s cherished Creation.
You do not have to be an experienced poet to take part in this workshop. Just come willing to explore where words may take you. This will take place in Chester Cathedral’s Cloister room.
