Flintshire Community Art Group present ‘Water Life.’ A relaxed, informal art group who meet at Saint Mary’s Church Hall, Flint on Wednesday mornings, Flintshire Community Art Group work on compositional themes under the leadership of artist Linda Gant. Since September 2018 the group’s theme has been water and water life using the medium of watercolours and graphite.  A topical subject with, for example, global warming, pollution and plastics affecting our natural world.  Within art we have beauty and/or truth.  The…

Heritage Open Day: Misericord Talk

Misericord Talk Get a glimpse into the world of medieval symbolism and imagery amongst some of the finest 14th century woodwork in the country, with cathedral Bedesman Nick Fry in the Chapter House. The last hour of the session is an opportunity following the talk to see carvings in situ in the quire. This talk is free, but please book tickets to register your interest below.

Chester Philharmonic Orchestra: Season of Fable and Fantasy Arnold -  Overture Peterloo Vaughan Williams - Tuba Concerto ( Soloist Les Neish) Berlioz -  Symphonie Fantastique Conductor - Marco Bellasi It is 200 years since the Peterloo Massacre when 18 protesters were slaughtered and over 400 were injured by a cavalry charge of the Manchester and Salford Yeomanry.
