Today at the Cathedral
|9:30am||Morning Prayer and Holy Communion in the Chapel of St Werburgh|
|4:15pm||Said Evening Prayer in the Lady Chapel|
The beautiful cathedral gardens now play host to one of the most amazing aerial displays imaginable.
This family attraction offers you the chance to see some of the most spectacular birds of prey, right up close, in the heart of the Chester city centre.
Owls, falcons, hawks and one incredibly mischievous vulture called Tinker, call our falconry home. Falconers Tommy, Sophie and Peter are always on hand to talk about any aspect of the birds and their habitats.
We are open seven days a week, there are light refreshments available and there is plenty to keep the little ones entertained.
The entrance fee entitles visitors to explore the falconry centre and nature gardens, visit the birds of prey and watch the daily flying displays. You can even leave the centre to explore Chester and return for more outdoor action later the same day.
Due to an outbreak of Avian Influenza (bird flu) in Europe, the Falconry and Nature Gardens are currently following the advice of the UK government on preventative measures.
We are conducting our daily flying displays as normal but as a precaution members of the public will not be able to handle our birds (at the centre or as part of a pre-booked falconry experience) until 28 February 2017.
