Join us each Thursday in October as we celebrate one of the foremost organists and composers of the early twentieth century.
Louis Vierne was one of the foremost organists and composers of the early twentieth century. Although almost completely blind, he was organist of Notre Dame in Paris for thirty-seven years where, giving what was to be his last organ recital, he died at the organ. Do come and enjoy one or more of our recitals dedicated to the music of Vierne, performed by our own cathedral organists and visiting recitalists. You will hear a wide range of pieces, including the wonderful and rarely heard Les Angelus for organ and solo soprano.
