Knit One Share One Join us for a knitting extravaganza including the Knitted Bible - a fabulous exhibition of miniature scenes from the Bible knitted and created in wool.  Alongside the exhibition, Knit & Natter events and workshops for adults and children will take place - whilst everyone will be invited to knit to help the homeless in Chester - for the ShareShop.  Get involved – knit or donate blue, green or grey scarves to help us to create a River…

Rachmaninoff - Isle of the Dead Mozart - Clarinet Concerto Mussorgsky/Ravel - Pictures at an Exhibition Conductor - David Chatwin Katherine Lacy (Clarinet) This evening’s soloist is the principal clarinet of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Katherine, a native of Wrexham, will perform Mozart’s beautiful and haunting Clarinet Concerto. The Concerto was written in the same year of Mozart’s death and the first performance took place only three months before he died. Two pieces in this concert were inspired by paintings.…

Chester Music Society presents Bach, St John Passion

Bach’s St. John Passion tells the dramatic story of the events leading to the crucifixion of Christ, from the Gospel of St. John. At times tender, frightening and passionate, the work is regarded as one of Bach’s most famous masterpieces.  We are especially pleased to announce that Rogers Covey-Crump will be singing the role of the Evangelist, a role for which he is well renowned.

Chester Music Society presents:- Haydn the Creation

The CMS Choir is joined by Chester Philharmonic Orchestra for Haydn’s Creation, which completes the choir’s season of monumental choral works. Haydn tells the story of the Creation in some of the most moving music ever written.  From the first appearance of Light through to the final view of the Glorious Work (including whales along the way), you will be swept along with the majesty of Haydn’s masterpiece.
