Trena Cox Project
Join Chester Cathedral and partners to discover the work and legacy of Chester's foremost woman stained glass artist
The Trena Cox Project is an exciting research project run by Project Lead and Artist in Residence at Chester Cathedral, Aleta Doran, to tell the story of Trena Cox (1895-1980), Chester's renowned twentieth-century stained glass artist.
During her career lasting more than fifty years, Cox brought prestige to the city through her talent for creating vibrant and eye-catching designs, and her distinctive stained glass can be found across Chester and Cheshire.
Join us as we explore the legacy of Trena Cox today and put her contributions to our city and county back on the map.
The Trena Cox Project encompasses several strands, including new research by Aleta Doran on the life and legacy of Trena Cox, a series of exciting exhibitions exploring Cox's work, community projects, talks, artwork, and lots more with support from a Chester-based partnership.
