Foreman Stonemason

Full time (37.5 hours per week) – £24,000 to £30,000 (based on experience)

The Stonemasonry team oversees the repair and conservation the fabric of the Cathedral and surrounding buildings in conjunction with the Clerk of Works, Cathedral Architect and the Cathedral’s Conservator. The Cathedral is just beginning to induct and train the next generation of masonry apprentices and has an ambitious plan improve the facilities on offer and to support our region in the development of heritage skills training. As a department, the works team are also at the start of a journey to deliver high quality external contracts in our area for the general benefit of our local community and as a mechanism for generating profit to support the training of apprentices. As the Foreman Stonemason, you will be required to oversee worksites when on projects. This includes management of Health and Safety, as well as ensuring that work is being carried out to an acceptable standard, and that the project is running on time, according to plan. You may also be asked to support in the training of apprentices.

Tenor Lay Clerk

£8,500 per annum.
We are recruiting for a Tenor Lay Clerk to join the team of six Lay Clerks who form a part of the Cathedral Choir.

Food and Beverage Assistant

Part time (20 hours per week), permanent – £10.90 per hour.

We are seeking a part-time Food and Beverage Assistant who will deliver a great food and beverage experience for our customers, putting customers before task every time. They will champion new ways of working within through an open mindset and positive attitude; complete tasks and processes that deliver aspirational standards, are safe, and legally compliant. They will also maximise revenue generation through active selling, great service, and managing costs to agreed KPI’s.
