Celebration of different abilities service

The service will include a BSL signer, hearing loop, signing choir, large print and braille service sheets. Due to today's University of Chester Graduation Ceremony, the main body of the cathedral will be closed. However, the cathedral cloisters, gift shop and Refectory Café remain open as normal. Those wishing to pray or light a candle may do so in St. Anselm's Chapel.  Please ask our Welcome Team for further guidance.

Join us for a delightful family event where, from the end of November, the Chester Cathedral cloisters will be filled with more than 50 majestic Christmas trees - in support of the Ultrasound Breast Care Scanner Appeal at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Open daily: Mon - Sat 9am - 6pm, Sun 11am - 4pm.

Chester Music Society presents Bach, St John Passion

Bach’s St. John Passion tells the dramatic story of the events leading to the crucifixion of Christ, from the Gospel of St. John. At times tender, frightening and passionate, the work is regarded as one of Bach’s most famous masterpieces.  We are especially pleased to announce that Rogers Covey-Crump will be singing the role of the Evangelist, a role for which he is well renowned.
