Join Chester Cathedral and partners for a Symposium inspired by the Trena Cox: Reflections 100 exhibition, running from 7 October-8 November.

Using the life and legacy of Trena Cox as the focal point, attendees will hear from a variety of respected speakers from across the stained glass, heritage conservation, and art sectors.

To make this event as accessible as possible, we encourage you to ‘pay what you can’ for your ticket.

Schedule:

1pm: TALK 1 Heritage Crafts – Glass Under Threat an introduction by Jamie Moore, Recclesia

1.30pm: TALK 2 Rosemary Rutherford: A Contemporary of Cox with examples of her stained glass in Essex with Chris Parkinson, independent researcher

2pm: TALK 3 Trena Cox: Revealing a hidden story through research, exhibition, conservation and community engagement with Aleta Doran, Project Lead for The Trena Cox Project and Artist in Residence at Chester Cathedral

3pm: Break

3.30pm: TALK 4 Panel Discussion: Women in Heritage with heritage professionals 

4.30pm: CLOSE

5.30pm: invitation to attend Choral Evensong

7pm: Keynote given by Martin Crampin (separate ticket required)
