Metal detecting enthusiasts from across the region will descend for a fascinating exhibition exhibition of metal detecting discoveries.
National Council for Metal Detecting affiliated clubs from the Northwest area will be setting up their stalls to show off some of their most precious and interesting finds at this one-day event.
Visitors can also bring along any unidentified or interesting finds themselves, as the Portable Antiquities Scheme's Finds Liaison Officers will also be on hand to give advice and to identify and record finds.
The Northwest Group Chairman and Co-organiser Dave Edwards said: "It should be a great day out. We've had tremendous support from clubs from throughout the region and it's a great venue, full of history in its own right"
"The Club showcase theme of "Clothes Fasteners Through the Ages" should also provide some interesting exhibits, as it was thought this would make a great theme for a club showcase, as most detectorists have found clothes fasteners from all periods in pursuit of their hobby.
As always Unearthed UK will provide the trade stands offering tips, advice, and some great bargains.
