The first Friends outing for some time is a visit to Shakespeare Playhouse North in Prescott, to enjoy a riotous performance of 'Love Labour’s Lost'. Shakespeare North is a groundbreaking new venue which opened in July 2022, home to the only seventeenth century style, timber built “cockpit” theatre outside London.
Itinerary: The coach will leave St Columbus church car park (Plas Newton Lane, CH2 1SA) at 9.15am. Cars can be left in the car park of the church. On arrival at the theatre in Prescott, enjoy a cup of tea/coffee followed by a private tour of the theatre complex.
After the tour a lunch of a selection of sandwiches, cakes, coffee or tea will be served in the theatre cafe. The day will continue with a matinee performance of Shakespeare’s first comedy 'Love Labour’s Lost.' This has been produced by the team behind the UK Theatre Award nominated 'Comedy of Errors.'
The performance will finish at approx 4pm when we will return by coach to St Columbus church.
