On Palm Sunday Jesus arrived in Jerusalem to crowds and cheers. His triumphant entry into Jerusalem has been celebrated on the Sunday before Easter since the first centuries of Christianity.
Palm crosses are blessed, and we begin with a procession into the Cathedral. The service also includes the singing of the Passion Narrative, in which the whole story of Holy Week is anticipated.
