We are officially in Advent with the Advent Procession taking place on Sunday 1 December. December is the busiest month at the Cathedral with a plethora of events, services, and our annual Christmas Tree Festival.

The Christmas Tree Festival is on now until Sunday 5 January. Enjoy over 80 Christmas trees decorated by local schools, charities, and businesses while making lasting memories with loved ones. Make sure to pick up a copy of the Christmas Angel Trail and bookmark at admissions (especially if visiting with little ones). To ensure speedy entry, pre-book your Christmas Entry here. Free entry for children five and under, no booking required for Sundays.

G4 return for another Christmas on Wednesday 3 December. Escape into their world of mesmerising harmonies, beautifully blended voices and impeccable showmanship. Very limited tickets available here.

Friday 5 December we are joined by The Soul Brothers Syndicate with BBC Proms stars Darrell Smith, Natalie Palmer plus Judith Ude. This show quickly sold out but tickets are now available in the South Transept here.

London Concertante celebrate the magic of Christmas on Saturday 6 December with their Viennese Christmas Spectacular. Programme and tickets available here.

Fans of Adele will enjoy an extraordinary candlelight event with multi-award winning Miss Julia Martin performing A Celebration of Adele: Christmas Special on Saturday 7 December. Get your ticket here.

Making wonderful memories with your family at our Santa dining experiences taking place on Sundays leading up to Christmas. Brunch with Santa returns in the morning, limited tickets remain and can be booked here. This year we have added a Festive Afternoon Tea with Santa with dining times from 1pm-3pm. Book now to avoid disappointment, book here. Please note, Café 1092 will be closed Sundays leading up to Christmas for our Santa Experiences.

Enjoy an evening of festive song perfomed by the BA (hons) Musical Theatre students from The Hammond at The Hammond Christmas Concert on Wednesday 11 December. Tickets available here.

Join Nadia Eide, chart topping soprano and star of The Voice, for a spectacular Christmas concert. Nadia Eide Presents Winter Light will bring Christmas joy and include festive favourites and classic songs with a special guest choir. Tickets available here.

Get into the festive spirit at our most popular concerts of the year on Saturday 14 December with Chester Cathedral’s Annual Christmas Carol Concert with our fantastic choir. Tickets (available here) include mulled wine and mince pies.

The Nave Choir Carol Service on Sunday 15 December at 3pm will be full of Carols sung by our incredible Nave Choir, the oldest voluntary choir in the country. No booking required, all are welcome.

Monday 16 December Chester Music Society preform popular Christmas carols, orchestral delights, and readings at their Christmas Crackers Concert. Tickets available here.

Hear over 100 voices in perfect harmony filling the air with your favourite pop songs and timeless Christmas carols at the XXL Christmas Choir Concert on Tuesday 17 December. Book tickets here.

The Joshua Tree charity present an evening of music by renowned singers, local talents, choirs, and school groups on Wednesday 18 December. Together in Song tickets are available here and all proceeds go to the Joshua Tree charity.

Thursday 19 December celebrate the sound of a generation with one very special night of the Music of Motown. Get your tickets here.

Bublé Christmas returns on Friday 20 December. Join us for an unforgettable evening of Christmas hits made famous by the one and only Michael Bublé. Due to popularity, a matinee showing has been added at 2.30pm with the evening show at 7.30pm. Tickets for both are available here.

On the last Saturday before Christmas, join us for Christmas by Candlelight. An incredible West End cast and live band perform classic Christmas hits. Get tickets here.

The Snowman returns with three showings on Monday 23 December! Presented by Carrot Productions – the world's leading performers of ‘The Snowman’ film with orchestra – the award-winning show features some of the UK's finest professional musicians. As an extra bonus, performances will include an additional short film, again accompanied live by the orchestra.
