Visiting with Children

Cathedral in LEGO®

Over 275,000 LEGO® bricks! In one of our most ambitious build projects, Chester Cathedral has been recreated, brick-by-brick using LEGO® pieces. It was constructed by visitors who paid to place a brick on the model as part of a fundraiser for our education department. The model's base measures 4m x 2m. When you see it you will realise the scale of this project and the size of the Cathedral.

Children's Chapel

Located in the South Transept you'll find the Children's Chapel. A chapel dedicated to children with a space for kids to play with LEGO®, trains, and colouring.

Monk's desk and monk cutout

On the south Cloister visitor will find a monk's desk, monk outfits, and a cutout board to take a picture as a monk. Take a closer look at the monk's desk, can you find the carved squirrel hidding on the seat?
